One of downsides to the Iceman cold air intake is
that it places the filter just above the lower radiator support.
Problem is that should water level be too high, possibility
exists that you can suck in large amount of water and hydro
lock your motor. This spacer allows you to run the iceman
7/8" higher than the designers intended. It's made mostly
for rainy reason/winter season, or when you know your area
is prone to flooding. You might say that what is an extra
7/8" of an inch going to get me. It might mean the difference
between driving out of that calf deep water or getting pushed
out or worse towed out.
